UltraBar X is a desktop command center — a compact console of rotary knobs, buttons and a display that maps to whatever you want: lighting scenes, media controls, keyboard shortcuts, timers. It shipped to 766 backers in September after raising HK$2.57M on Indiegogo. Get it if your desk needs fewer apps and more physical controls; skip it if you are happy with your keyboard's shortcut layer.
