Every click pen performs the same trick with the same spring, which is why the mechanism stops being interesting after a week. The SL01 replaces the button with a weighted telegraph-key lever: you cock it and release, and the refill throws forward with a mechanical snap that is genuinely hard to stop playing with. It is designed by the Japanese knife maker Hidetoshi Nakayama, CNC-machined and hand-chamfered in stainless, with a press-to-open pocket clip to match — and underneath the theatre it takes standard Parker G2 refills, with a Schmidt P900M included. A daily writer, not a shelf piece.
