The TC002 clips into the Lightning port and starts streaming 256x192 infrared at 25Hz, covering roughly -4 to 1022 degrees F. That is enough resolution to spot a missing insulation patch behind drywall, a hot breaker or an overheating connector on a circuit board, and to pick out deer or foxes in a dark field. Everything runs through the phone screen, so there is no separate display, no battery to charge and no memory card to move. It is the cheapest way into thermal imaging that still produces readable images.
